A Case of Diabetes Insipidus Treated with Chlorpropamide

Abstract
|
|
|
This report describes a 19-year-old female who had diabetes insipidus associated with hypogonadism.
The patient was not responsive satisfactorily to the administration of chlorthiazide 50mg per day, but remarkably responsive to the treatment of chlorpropamide 250mng daily in the regulation of urine amount.
The pharmacologic mechanism of chlorpropamide on the diabetes insipidus was reviewed.
